The Shore- An Academy Fanfiction
Sang Sorenson's life has been anything but perfect. At four, her mother died. At five, her father remarried to a horrible woman. At seven, she was the invisible girl at home- neither seen nor heard, but you knew she was there.
Then, at fifteen, she met Elijah Meyers. He smuggled her out of her house in the dead of night; never to be seen again. The sad thing is, it took her family a week to realize she was gone. By then, she was across the country, in California.
She fell for Elijah, the longer she knew him, the more she felt. He was her hero; her light; her everything. He was good, and that was a hard thing to find in the world.
Or so she thought.
Everything was perfect- that is, until Elijah drank a little too much, a year after they ran away. It was the first time he hit her- but definitely not the last.
Two years later, the Blackbourne-Toma team is on assignment to find a drug dealer in California. Their main suspect? Elijah Meyers.
Sang's given up on finding her perfect. She just wants one thing- happiness. She knows Elijah can't give that to her, and yet, she still tries. She tries with everything she has to find the light she once saw in him, to see the goodness, to feel the love they once shared.
She tries to find the girl she was. The only time she can find herself is when she's riding the waves. It's the one thing no one- not a soul on earth- can steal from her. She just needs a way to make that girl stay when she's on land.
The Blackbourne-Toma team is falling apart. They need a way to keep their family together- and that solution just so happens to be the girlfriend of the man they're supposed to take down.
Together, they can find who they are. The Blackbourne-Toma team are the way Sang can become who she is inside, and Sang is the glue that will keep them together.
There's just one problem- Elijah.
(WARNING strong scenes of domestic abuse)
(I don't own any characters except Elijah. All the rest go to C.L Stone and her amazing mind.)
