"Yeah." I nod my head solemenly.
"Well then," Jeremy reaches across the table and grabs my hand in his, shaking it lightly. "Hi, I'm Jeremy Martin. You look familiar, did you know my father perhaps? About four years ago?"
I giggle and tighten my grip on his hand. "Yes, I did know your father. He was like my own. Oh, and I'm Cara Brown."
"Nice to meet you, Cara."
In order to be forgotten you have to be remembered.
And that's exactly what Cara Brown didn't want to do. She didn't want to remember. She wanted to throw the memories, humiliation and stupidity out the window, and just forget.
But most of all, she wanted to forget him.
The one person who had thrown her heart out the window. The one person whose family broke her heart when it had landed on the hard ground.
She wanted to forget it all.
But, unfortunately, the living memory walked back into her life just as she had begun breathing. And he brought fresh heart-ache, mistakes and secrets with him.
Cara's heart was just going to have to take another fall. But would it survive this time?
