For those who are not familiar with the storyline of the show;
Raman Kumar Bhalla, an arrogant businessman who does not treat woman with respect unless they are not his family, because his (ex)wife Shagun Arora left him for a rich man, Ashok Khanna, after having borne two kids (Aditya Bhalla and Ruhi Bhalla), for money and luxury that he could not afford her in the past. She gets the custody of their son soon after she leaves Raman.
Later, after few years, a custody case of Ruhi (who from when Shagun left was living with Raman's family), appears because Ashok promised Shagun of marrying her only after getting the six-years-old little girl's custody. However, in the trail, Ruhi chooses to go with her neighbor, Ishita Iyer, in whom she sees a friend and a mother and likely the only person who understands her better; it shows how such a failed parents Raman and Shagun are. Ishita being infertile, loves the kid a lot. Cognizing the circumstance, Raman decides to marry Ishita, so that he could easily get his daughter back and she agrees thinking Ruhi would not be happy with either parent but her.
Prejudices, ego clashes and many more troubles are there amidst them, but they do not care to resolve because the entire charade is for the sake of little Ruhi!
Now with this in the background, how the marriage of Ishita and Raman would turn out when they would not get Ruhi's custody?
