After returning home from several months in an asylum, Melvin emerges from his sane façade and goes back to doing what he does best; being a sadistic psychopath.
That, of course, is only part of the life he has. Besides tearing the innocent limb from limb, he often hangs with Bakura, whom he is sure is the only thing he cares about.
Ryou, on the other hand, has hit rock bottom in his life and is trying with all he can to get back to where he was before. Love, heartbreak, tragedy, loneliness- he's been through it all. Now he's struggling to pay his rent and is working as hard as he can.
Did I mention that these two only live one floor away from each other?
Melvin loses the keys to his apartment, and, without paying the rent of his own, stays with the selfless, pitying Ryou.
There, he decides to make his life more of a living hell than it already is.
