Switching Jerseys(On Hold)
Connor West grew up with ice-hockey.
All the males of her family have been the captain of the undefeated Edge-Field's Savages.
Her brother, Jake, is the the current captain.
Jake's girlfriend, Tanya, supports the teams rival. Delacruze's Demons.
When Tanya begs Connor to switch jerseys with her at a game, Connor's life changes. Turns out Tanya borrowed the captain of the Demons jersey.
Connor is forced to interact with her brothers arch nemesis, Alec Campbell.
Alec Campbell lives and breathes hockey.
It's what he knows and loves.
Being the captain of an undefeated team puts a lot of pressure on the 18 year old.
Falling in love with her brothers rival was not in Connor's crystal ball.
Will Alec make Connor's dream become a reality?
And what will Jake have to say about his little sisters love interest?
"It's the first time these two teams are playing each other," Tanya pleaded with me.
"But the Demons are your team," I argued.
"Jake is my boyfriend, I want to support him today. It's their biggest game. They are both undefeated," she begged. "Just swap and give it to the captain when the game is over. You never have to wear it again. It's a one-off thing."
"The captain? The captain! Are you crazy? Jake hates him, and why are you wearing his jersey?"
She jutted her bottom lip out, widened her brown eyes and put her hands up as if she is praying.
"Fine," I caved. I am ashamed of myself.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she squealed.
She pulled off the black and white jersey and handed it to me. I pulled of my white and blue one and handed it to her.
I looked at the jersey. Number 18, Campbell.
This should be interesting.
I pulled the warm jersey over my head and put my arms through the holes. It came down 3 inches above my knee and the sleeves covered my hands. Luckily because I was freezing.
