Set the heading apart from the rest of the paragraph (maybe even center it) and start the next paragraph with "The news." I think this will bring the message across and gives a better hook.

"answer" is an echo word to the sentence before. "drifts through the receiver" maybe?

How about( he exhales loudly) or he exhales long and loud, sounds less sticky than a long breath because a long exhale is a breath, something like that?

                              I really like your vivid descriptions! It definitely isn't over the top but it's enough to pull readers in! I also like the beginning, where the first sentence states "Drone found on Mars, suspected alien origin." It already raises a few questions and sets the stage for some mystery. Good job!
