MEMOIRS OF A MODERN HAUSA GIRL
Different cultures, had imposed different expectations on their children especially girls in my immediate society, Hausaland. Here girls have to battle with the choice of either being westernised or culturized, which indeed isn't an easy choice for them. In this book, i am presenting a story about how the expectataions held by a society defines the roles of it's member, whether for good or bad. One thing i had kept in mind while writing this book is the sad fact that for generations my society had imposed some certain codes of behaviour for it's female members to follow which time and enlightenment, had managed to currupt for the better.
Example of this, is in the challenging journey and personal transformation of the character in this book, Muna.
It's a work which illuminates a path through which others can expand their consciousness, and chart the course for a future of enlightenment.
