"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." ~1 Peter 3:3-4

"Tu es belle, ma chère, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur."

Aislyn Palmin is surrounded by beautiful people. Her mother is the owner of a successful modeling agency, and she works for renowned designer, Pierre Darling. But despite being surrounded by beauty, Aislyn doesn't feel beautiful herself.

Linc Kingsman is gorgeous and knows it. People love him because he seems perfect on the outside, but the secrets he's hiding make him feel ugly on the inside.

Insecurities, imperfections, and inadequacies abound within these two individuals. What does it take to look past these things, and discover the true meaning of beauty?

When you watch too many episodes of FRIENDS growing up, you instantly think of Phoebe's picture of the scary girl with her body coming out from the picture (the one where Monica and Rachel fight over her as to not get the other scary picture, when Mike decides to move in with Phoebe).

She can't even call her own daughter pretty. "Not ugly" and "handsome"? What kind of a mother is she, I don't care if she has to lie, she should still call her daughter beautiful. I'm ugly af and my mom still calls me "beautiful".

When I read that you put "You" for Aislyn I started crying. I admit that I have self esteem issues and just by reading the first chapter I have a feeling that this book will help me in more ways than I could have ever imagined.
