My Guardian Angel is a Bad Boy
I turn around to face Lex and throw out the last shred of sanity that's in my brain and say, "does that offer still stand?" He smiles at me as if he just won the lottery. He takes out the cigarette from his mouth, throws to it the grown and stomps it flat. "Still game if you are," he says while letting out a huff of white smoke in a direction away from my face. He then gives his hand out and offers it to me, for the second time today. I didn't say anything else and I take his hand instead. I can hear gasps and whispers growing louder from behind me, but I didn't care. At this point, I'm way pass the border of caring-town.
Kara Wilcox had the perfect life - or so it seems. Born and raised in a beautiful home in New York City, her family is successful and she grew up with her big sister Sara and her cute little brother Micah. She's surrounded by good friends and a wonderful boyfriend too, Josh Lewis, captain of the basketball team, a cutie with dimples and gorgeous blue eyes, and also a pastor's son.
Seems like she's been dealt a pretty good hand in life. But unfortunately, her world came crumbling down during her junior year in high school. And just when Kara thought that her hope's all gone, she finds strength in the strangest of places: in Lex Halstead's arms. Lex is the boy that your mom would warn you to stay away from; he's got more tattoos than he could count, he's always ditching school, a cigarette is always hanging by his mouth, and he always got a pack of girls chasing after him.
Can this bad boy really be Kara's saving grace? There's only one way to find out.
