But what gives us fear of a monster with the visage of a human? Which has canines that elongate? Pale skin and the unflinching and infallible ability to draw us in with little more than the idea of a fairytale? Perhaps, it is the unthinkable notion that it used to be human that gives us fear of what we could become. A creature that preys and thrives on the blood of others. But with every legend, there is a beginning, a truth that we dare not believe.
