Julianna Corasce is the name you'll first know her by. She has recently discovered she's a Taikaan: one capable of seeing ghosts and reading auras - powers she's none too keen to embody. School, mental health and the visiting dead are more than enough for any 15-year-old to manage, but a jarring new insight into her past life threatens to topple her over the edge.
Julianna isn't sure what her history holds, but as an escalating war approaches her door, so does a sinking feeling: her past life may have had something to do with starting it.

It's about time she found out how dirty her hands truly are.

I would not say "banished" here. Cause they were not really banished. They escaped.

Amazing! Amazing! EMPHASIS!! READ THIS BOOK!! Everything about it is awesome. The world, the prelude, the characters, the magic system, gahhh!!

And now the excruciating wait for the second instalment. Not been this pumped for a sequel since I started reading the Red Rising series!!

I like how you slowly flesh out the exposition. You introduce everything nicely, and your writing is very fluid. keep it up :)
