Before and After
Sports, food and video games.
You'd think this would just about sum up a guy's mind, right?
These are just a few of the things that run through Madeline (Aka Mad) Valentine's mind on a day to day basis. Laugh all you want, she's a tomboy. Always has been, always will be.
Or will she?
She prefers all the male stereotypes to the female stereotypes. She prefers blue to pink, sports to makeup, hamburgers to salads and pants to skirts. She had only one girl friend, Marley, who was the absolute opposite of her. The only thing they shared was being sporty. In fact, Marley was popular, a cheerleader and absolutely gorgeous. Mad was basically a loser, and, well, not-so gorgeous.
But then, there was Will.
Will was Mad's best friend. She couldn't survive without seeing him at least 5 times a week. They played video games, kicked balls - both kinds, if you know what I mean [insert flirtatious winky-face here.]-, ate a load of food and rebelled against the rules. They were perfect for each other.
And over Christmas, Mad realises this. But she knew she'd never be able to get him. I mean, come on, who would want the girl that wore baggy shirts and slacks everyday? So Mad changes herself with a little - no, a lot - of help from Marley, Piper and some other unexpected 'friends'.
Does Mad finally get the boy of her dreams, or will he see her strictly as a friend, forever?
