Growing up with an average family, sounds good. It sounds as if it comes with minimal problems. Yes., but growing up black with an average family, in a white neighborhood comes with many struggles. Being raised in Capitol Hill Washington DC, is decent. It's quiet, and nice. plus, she gets access to things which people outside of Hills don't.
18 year old Rue Jackson, still gets a lot of dirty looks from others. When she finds a flyer at the store for a spot on a dance team at The Art Institutes, she hope her skin color can be put aside and her skills can be noticed.
