Every story has to have a starting point. This isn't it, but it's a good place to dive in. The time of this story is late into the 19th Century, a new dawn is just a few years away. In a small town outside of London, a reclusive scientist experiments in his old college friends house. His friend, Professor Donald Lambert is no longer with us, but he's not dead. We'll find out about him soon enough, for now we get to meet Doctor Philippe Moreau and his 18 year old daughter Alice. They live in Willow Weir, a quiet town of very few people and they are mostly farmers. A few retired professors and scientists have chosen it as their home but Moreau has ignored their attempts at social interaction. Moreau is a man possessed. A secret eludes him and he cannot focus on anything until that secret is discovered. A clue to that secret rests with Alice and the adventures he has in the Wild Woods and the worlds that lay beyond them.
