Many in Galia resent Kel Emick and his Turbian ancestry; with Canúden
refusing his right of Kelship, Galians seek another heir: another grandson
of Kel Tutang the Ninth, brutal and unmerciful, but with a wari gift
to make people love him. His Kelship would cause Galia and Gallel to
crumble: but that's what Minara and Tavaris want. A crumbled Galia
would seek the ultimate peace that Tavaris offers.
Canúden and his friends leave Galia in search of Hallel, but things
get rough when the Ball of Lights suddenly refuses to guide them. What
they find instead may turn out to be the world's salvation, or it may
guide Minara to their location.
