One fateful day, two girls, Kairi Amaterasu and Sakura Andrews, wash up on the shores of Destiny Islands with no memories of where they came from. They meet two boys their age, Sora Hikari and Riku Katashi, and they hit off. But, as the four grew up, a strange desire to leave the islands bloomed within them and grew stronger by the day.
As 14-year-olds (Riku being the exception of 15), they've officially decided to leave the islands and have a plan for their journey. It's seems that they are set. Until a storm hits and separates the four friends. Sora and Sakura wake up in a mysterious world and, upon discovery, are wielders of the Keyblade. They set out, along with two new companions, Donald and Goofy, in search of their friends and their King. Along the way, they meet several villains who put everything in the line to stop the "four annoying brats". But, it doesn't seem that their mission is to eradicate the four young warriors.
Their mission is to capture Sakura Andrews.
