I can see you and your mom searching for the nickle . A mothers love can break down walls . She sounds like a wonderful woman . The poem is amazing i love it from start to end thank you for letting me into you  life for a little while Marie

@Amuse-bouche The picture is of me, smile.  Considering inflation, the price of gold in the fifties was $34 a troy ounce, a nickel would buy five pieces of bubble gum and quite value to a young boy.   I thank you for the time you took to read and comment on this parable.  Olan.
