She removed her hands from under my shirt and grabbed my jaw. Her nimble fingers drew my face closer to hers.
My lips burned from the fire of her touch. She stared deep into my eyes. Her emerald eyes were back to the asphalt color they were previously. But I didn't know whether it was from anger or from lust.
With a gruff voice, I asked her, "Are you still mad at me now?"
Jazmyn pulled my face within a puckers reach and smirked a little, causing her lips to faintly brush against mine.
Again, the strain tightened. I moaned a little under my breath, breathing out against her cheek.
"Of course, I am." She murmured.
Then she pressed her partly open lips against mine and all I could see were stars.
Jazmyn Eris: 23 year old waitress trying desperately to pay her next bill and take proper care of her 13 year old younger brother.
Lucas Castor: 26 year old businessman struggling to inherit the fortune and company promised to him in his grandfather's will.
She needs money to survive on.
He needs a fiancé to inherit that cash and company.
Harmless plan, right?
At first sight, these two despise each other, but as time wears on, the masks fall away, and Jazmyn and Lucas finally reveal what's underneath all those layers.
They say they have love, but love always includes passion....
And passion always comes at a price...
She's a waitress.
He's an heir.
What if that price is too great?
What if the cost is too much?
Will Lucas and Jazmyn be able to face their trials and pay up, or will they have to split and shove that price into the darkest corners of their minds?
"There is a price to pay for the changes you want in life. There is also a price you're already paying for staying the way you are. You must weigh these two prices and decide what to do based on that comparison and no one can do that for you." - Bill Harris
