"Listen here. I just had to say that... I will protect you." He said. She stared at him for a moment, then sighed and looked down, disappointed. He started walking away from there. She turned back and saw everyone staring at her with wide eyes.

"What? I expected something more..." She sighed again. Inuyasha stepped forward and yelled, "Seriously?! That egoist Lord Sesshoumaru just said he would protect you! Aren't you going to rejoice?!"

"What's there to be rejoicing? He didn't even say the word 'love'!" She furrowed her brows. Kagome tapped on her shoulder and said, "He always said till today that he has nothing to protect. Not even Rin! He said the same to his father, but today, he said it to you! Do you know the meaning of this? It actually means a lot more than he loves you! He is actually devoted to you!!" And everyone cheered.

She looked back at him walking away. She took her chance, ran to him and turned him around. "I love you!" He couldn't help smiling as she embraced him.
