Ira Vaughn, a young black female surgeon who lives for her craft. Her strong attitude and cold but caring heart is the exact opposite of what her co-workers expected when she starts working at a foreign hospital. A hospital that has seemed to lose is heart is given a wake up call. As Ira fights to pump life back into the corrupt and unsettling hospital; feelings Ira has never had before start to emerge. Afraid these feelings will interrupt her work, she begins an internal tug of war.
