Paul Vincent By Astronomicon Completed

3 Spacecraft, 240 colonists, 25 trillion miles and a discovery that changes everything.

Astronomicon: The Beginning follows the human race's intrepid first steps into interstellar space, a colonisation mission to Proxima Centauri. The colossal distance and harsh environment are not all that stand between them and survival.

This first volume in the epic Astronomicon series is the story of their desperate adventures and the political machinations that are unfolding back on Earth, which threaten to end space exploration permanently. With colonies on Mars and a thriving mining community around Jupiter, will everyone want to come home?

Completed novel which has been proofread by a team and edited several times.

**Please note**: The version published here was written 15 years ago. I am beginning to completely rewrite this novel using new science, better engineering and writing skills I have developed over those years. There will be a completely new vessel design, many technology changes and some major plot alterations and more. I am fully aware of the silly design flaws in the Elysian and have addressed all of those in the new design, so please don't keep pointing them out to me.

The only reason this novel is still here is that it forms the beginning of the whole series. I can't remove it until the new version is written (probably late 2017/early 2018). Thank you for your patience.

Consider yourself voted. Love the space age atmosphere. I find it hard to do, so I'm glad you were able to do it well flawlessly.
The character's description broke the flow in my opinion, but otherwise this is a very compelling start. I can only imagine the many thoughts that go through Chris's mind with such a burden on his shoulder.

Slightly unnatural description, but overall very understandable

I read this as "Him That Was,"which added a mythic quality to it.

Nice opening. A great introduction to the ship and, what I believe will be, the story's protagonist. I'm excited to see how the two will get along.
