Eighteen. The age of adulthood. Or for some it is the age you become an elite. The age you become what you were born to be. Some look forward to the day, train for it, prepare. Others wait, patiently knowing the things that they will be taught. And then there are some that hide from it like Willow Adelard. Her parents were killed while working for The Elites. She loathes them, detest everything they stand for and has ran from the day she would be one of them for years but now it's her turn. Her day is upon them and she must face the life she tried to hide from.

@HeartOfCookieDough Thanks :). I was kind of hoping that no one would notice lol. And/or that i could use it veeery liberally. But it still wouldn't work.

I think matriarch is used wrong in this chapter; it means a *female* leader. :/ Maybe you might say instead that they are each sacrificing themselves or their safety? Or something else :) just a suggestion xx

Oh I forgot to give an explanation. So I know i haven't been on here in forever but i just had this idea and thought it was awesome and kind of just wanted to introduce it and see how it does. Let me know what you think!
