The people of Middle-earth were victorious in their stand against the oppressor Sauron in the first war, after having fought for their freedom for many long years. All rejoiced at the downfall, relieved to have received the peace they'd striven for. Their respite would end, most gruesomely, many centuries later.
Sauron returned, ambitions still strong. The darkness within Mordor remained, and once again spread throughout Middle-earth. Nine brave heroes embarked on a mission to destroy the One Ring, the source of Sauron's power. These companions overcame their hardships and ended the tyrant's rule. Sauron's tower crumbled into dust, and his malice faded from the land.
But it did not fully disappear.
Nearly two centuries later, a dark power is coming from Mordor. The familiar threat once again threatens Middle-earth and her people. Yet another thing, something entirely unexpected, threatens Middle-earth again...
The darkness must end before the entirety of the world is engulfed in flame and destruction, before the ancient grievances of the fallen shadows all of the world.
