On Hold, Chapters Down.
Being born and raised in New York wasn't always what it seemed. The the wealth and fame came easy to people living in the heart of the capital. The rest of the population got what they could and survived the best way they knew how.
For Harlem native, Zuri Howell, visiting her hometown was a reality check. Going away for college was her ticket out of poverty. She had nothing but a dream when she left and she fulfilled that dream years later becoming Fashion Designer/Stylist. This came with the perks that she only dreamt of having as a child: expensive cars, luxury homes, sponsorships, clothes, jewelry-the whole nine and it only cost her morals and peace of mind.
To relieve some tension, she took a trip back home in hopes to relive her teenage years- careless and worry free. While celebrating her latest accomplishments, she runs into a childhood friend, whom in such a short time, manages to dishevel the perfect life she sought to have.
