Wince was diagnosed with a lesion on his brain tissue two years before the tsunami hit. Shortly after his diagnosis, he began to feel different. It started with the little things, like having perfect recall of vivid memories. But it soon grew into something more. Wince was starting to see visions, and the things he saw eventually came to be. However, alongside his gift came pain. The more his ability was put to use, the more the side-affects grew and the weaker he became.
Wince gets together with his best friends, Olive and Liam, and they try to make sense of the astronomical events. They work together, and with their teamwork, they discover the truth that there is something much larger at play.
Wince later receives yet another vision; a huge wave rising above the skyscrapers of Chicago, crashing into the streets.
Wince somehow feels he's connected to this, and is determined to prevent whatever tragedy will take place. The gang begins plotting, but there is only so much a group of teenagers can do. Fortunately, they've got a scientist, a supernatural, and a bad-ass; the perfect combination for preventing a monumental disaster.
