Working With Red
"Just tell me. Don't give me the cheap crap; give it to me straight."
"I would love to, but I don't think that you'd be able to handle it."
After her mother, Pamela Isley, is put away (once again) into Arkham Asylum, 17 - year - old (Y/N) decides to take her life into her own hands. Refusing to play a part in her mother's old "line of work", (Y/N) seeks the help of someone who helped work to bring her mother down - Green Arrow. Along with his protégé Roy Harper, the two take (Y/N) under their wings and train her to fight like they do.
Because (Y/N) has no powers of her own, she soon develops special skills that she acquires during her training with the Arrows, and seeks to impress Green Arrow. She also works to gain the trust of one Roy Harper, who is still on the fence about trusting (Y/N) because of her background.
But, is trust all that (Y/N) seeks from the archer in red? Or does she seek something deeper; something more meaningful?
So, I know in the Young Justice series (LOOOOOOVE IT, btw) Roy doesn't become Red Arrow until he quits the team, but I'm making him Red Arrow in this one, and he still works with Green Arrow. Also, he's still eighteen. There may also be cameos with a couple of the Young Justice characters and such, so bare with me, because this isn't following a storyline.
I don't own the characters or the reader, but the dress designs and storyline are mine. This is a Red Arrow X Reader.
