"He would kiss me, right now, after everything I'd done. I was poison, and Apollo was the drug that would make me forget it."
Charlotte Deyes suspected something was a little off when her tyrant grandpa tried to take her away from her family at the age of six. Nevertheless, she lived a relatively normal life among other humans.
It wasn't until twenty years later when she bumped into the devilishly handsome Greek God, Apollo, that her life finally began to make sense.
However, Apollo proved to be intimidating and Charlotte soon learnt that Apollo had taken an oath never to love a human being.
When Charlotte's grandpa is injured in a drunk driver accident, Charlotte realises her own life is at risk.
Despite Apollo's God like glow and dazzling blue eyes, Charlotte finds herself falling for the Greek God. Only fate will decided whether he kills or protects her.
But we can't leave Apollo with the upper-hand now can we? One night, a demon appears before Charlotte and warns her of a darkness within Apollo. The demon gives Charlotte an enchanted sword - the only weapon that can defeat the God of the Sun.
Will Charlotte find it in herself to kill the only creature who has ever made her feel truly alive?
"Didn't you know I was out here, just waiting for a friend like you?"
"Of course I didn't know. I'd have been dancing on top of every bar in town, instead of studying, if I'd known that."
"Tell me not to kiss you," he said, when his lips were a breath away from mine.
"Don't kiss me," I told him, my voice a breathless rasp.
"Mean it," he said, crowding me into the corner of the pool. He tilted my chin up with his finger.
"I can't," I gasped. The words had barely left my lips before he was kissing me.
"I'm going to fuck you hard on the hood of this car, in the pouring rain. And. You. Are. Not. Going. To. Forget. It." He takes me by the waist and lifts me onto the hood. I wrap my legs and arms around him.
