The day Vasilisa Hedge was murdered for witchcraft, she left behind three things: a bloodthirsty village, a magickal daughter, and a soul-stealing doll.
Now Karina, Vasilisa's daughter, is grown up and accused of witchcraft herself. Banished from her village to the Forest of the Dead along with Hans Pinkerton, the imperious son of a warlock, they embark on an epic Hansel and Gretel story to their freedom. Along their way they discover the past and the fear it creates inside their hearts, the dangerous Fountains of Youth and Animalia, and Baba Yaga, a yaga with more secrets up her sleeve than magick, and the Dark and Light that threaten to destroy their very souls.
A fairytale retelling of Vasilisa the Beautiful, Hansel and Gretel, Baba Yaga, and Brother and Sister.
          Amazing cover made by @seventhstar.

Okay so this whole blurb is incredible and I love it. If I picked this up at a bookstore, I would have moved on to the paragraph test. (Open a random page, read a paragraph, if you are still there three pages later, buy the book.)

I myself am Russian, so I grew up with fairy tales like Baba Yaga and Vasilisa. I'm curious to see how you will write it into your story.
