Dedication is Everything
Charlotte Callahan had a hard life and has a troubled past. She might be determined, dedicated, feisty, and a total hopeless romantic now, but it's taken quite a few years and some of the scars haven't truly healed yet. At 27, she never thought she would see herself broke and divorced. So Charlotte decides to move in with the older sister she never knew she had in a small town she's never heard of.
And slowly, she begins to rebuild her life in a way she never imagined loving so much. But one thing is for sure, Charlotte wasn't expecting her oh-so attractive ex-husband to show-up. No matter how charming and sexy he may seem, Charlotte is determined to keep her guard up. No. Matter. What.
Ryder Callahan is just as determined and dedicated as Charlotte. All he wants is his wife back. He knows that he wasn't the best of husbands due his stressful job as a police officer. He also has a good number of scars of his own that he is afraid to show. Now he wants to make it right; he wants to show Charlotte that he's worth a second chance.
When Ryder gets a huge break in a case he's working and it leads to the small town his ex-wife Charlotte happens to be residing in, he can't be more thrilled. But Ryder knows Charlotte. And he knows this isn't going to be easy.
Some say timing is everything, and it can be, but in this case (and every relationship), dedication is everything because the person you love is worth fighting for.
