Native | The Hunger Games
Donoma's tribe has been doing everything possible to stay independent, but their plan fails. One day a woman who was supposedly the president of Panem got the tribe to join the country as "district 14" saying it was a gift of protection, yet there was a price to pay: they had to sacrifice one girl and one boy for their national hunger games. No problem for them, seeing that that has basically been their life until they joined Panem: running away from the other districts, killing them if they have to, gathering their own food, living outside. When the time for hunger games finally comes, Donoma's name gets drawn from the ball, and she is sent to the games. She expects it to be easy, seeing that it's just like home, but she's wrong. The games are really the hardest challenge she has ever faced. Even when the terrain is plentiful of bison her life is still on the line, if she makes it out, she will be known forever in her tribe history, even if she loses she will, but not in a good way, she will be known as a weakness to the tribe, a disgrace.
