Hermione has always wondered what it'd be like travelling 20 years into the past.
When she finds a peculiar looking stone and is transported 20 years into the past, she is secretly happy.
She has no way of returning to the future (or present) yet she doesn't freak out.
She meets the Marauders and doesn't panic and avoid them, intent on leaving the future exactly the same.
