The City of Wandering Souls (Book 2)
The Mysterious Raven returns in the second book The City of Wandering Souls, in The Lost Souls trilogy. Author Arcanum Corvus, has fled Boston, as some may see it at the end of The City of Lost Souls, to return to London. But what happens when, you can't outrun your past, and your past is chasing you from the one place you helped to find solace?
"You're so much to me and I can't even describe it." Words echo from Arcanum's past, but who said it.
Working on a second book, he never expected, he's forced to have hard conversations we all want to avoid, "I felt like shit when my desire to write was gone." Arc spoke aloud.
The trusted words of a dear friend, and a fellow old, wandering soul are spoken, "You have good days and bad days, but, I can see where you're coming from. As for me? I'm not much but I'm something and so long as I've made an impact to someone I can't say my life was wasted." The statement stayed with Arc, but why?
Upon his return to Boston, Arc sees relationships change, some evolve, some are no longer able to be kept secret.
What happens as Arc holds onto some of his own secrets, some he hoped to keep secret forever.
What is at jeopardy, when you can't fight the fear anymore? What will people think, when slowly the truths of the world you thought you knew, unfold.
"Just remember, you know deep down inside that I'll be there. Whenever the light fades or you want to give in I'll make sure you don't."
