I paced before the captured rogues cell. He had long since shifted back into his human form and was regarding me cooly as I paced before him. My blood boiled at the sight of him. This was the man who had killed my mate. I was certain of that fact! Yet they didn't have the same scent, nor was my burning desire to kill him truly unleashed. Something held me back from slaughtering him. Something that sent cold shudders through my body.
"Will you stop that? You're driving me insane." He sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Good." I hiss frustrated then approach the bars of his cell cautiously, "who are you?" HIs once closed eyes snapped open revealing orbs so dark I thought I had fallen in a puddle of chocolate.
He chuckled at my quickening of breath,"I thought you would've figured it out already, mate." His voice oozed an icy chilliness that almost made me shiver. Almost.
"Mate?" my voice was quiet in terror. "That's not possible, you...you killed my mate three years ago! Thats not possible!" My voice reached a shriek and guards descended down the stairs, even though I had forbade them from doing such a thing. Three wolves surrounded me hesitating before reaching out and dragging back up the stairs kicking and screaming. It took a total of seven male wolves to hold me down long enough to drag me to my house, down to my cold basement, and get me all chained up.
