Gods Don't Bleed [The Empty World, book 1]
Worlds don't always collapse with a bang.
Royal stable master, staunch companion, unwilling mind-reader: Arthur has as much to be thankful for as reason to curse the gods. Among the latter, accidentally wearing someone else's body as they break into a house should have taken the cake - but is unfortunately soon to become the least of his worries.
Unpleasant as the event was, it is nothing compared to what the body's true owner has in store for Arthur. As the last member of an extinct species, Teigra the shapeless demon is on a mission: find the five unknowing divine vessels who can help her figure out why the world is breaking. Arthur is one of those five, and if he thinks he has a choice, he's got another think coming.
Arthur has never imagined a world in which he breaks people out of jail and manages to piss off the entire criminal underworld; but it turns out that world exists, he's living in it, and unless he does something about it, it's not long before he finds himself in the clutches of both the royal guard and the Guild of Knaves as reality goes up in flames.
This is the first book in the "Empty World" duology. It is complete, and volume 2 is being written with all the speed and TLC I can muster.
Because some of the chapters I wrote were over 6k words, I decided to allow for ease of reading by separating them into 1.5-3k word parts. Hopefully this makes your experience better and easier!
I am always open to constructive criticism and questions from readers, and I do try to answer as quickly as possible.
If you enjoyed this story don't hesitate to leave some stars lying around, or maybe even a comment or two!
