There's no such thing as normal. Caiden's learned that at this point. His only friend can do magic and werewolves are real. He's still wrapping his head around the idea of magic when he's attacked on a full moon. Things keep going south when he's confronted by members of the local werewolf pack. They know he's been bitten, that he's changing, and Kale, the beta to the soon to be alpha, is less than happy about it.
