Furs Over Skins
The only word he had ever said to me was "mine", and I hadn't seen him in his skins ever since our first encounter. I was used his grey wolf watching me. Outside my window, outside of school, always in the trees. It was unsettling, and I had definitely become more a more wary person because of it. Sometimes I swear I could hear him growl whenever I was too close to a boy.
But I could care less. I didn't understand this mate business, and he had made it a point that he wouldn't be explaining anything to me. So I'd go on with life as usual. Heck, I'd probably even date. Because my supposed "mate", he was always in his furs. He chose his furs over skins.
Maren Monroe and Josh Hallows have been best friends forever. Little did she know that he was keeping a secret from her, until one day he shifts into a giant wolf in front of her eyes. Maren can't help but be interested in everything he tells her, especially about the Elite Warriors. And then she meets one- Reed Matthews, who just so happens to be her mate. But how on earth are they supposed to have any sort of relationship, when Reed almost never shifts into his skins?
