Elsie Baxter loves life in Australia. But following her mother's death, secrets from Elsie's past emerge. Deemed an illegal immigrant, she is sent to California to live with a family she never knew existed. Along with a Dad, a twin brother, and an insanely good-looking kind of stepbrother (it's complicated), Elsie also faces a slew of wanna-be stepmothers, and their offspring, eager to capitalise on her father's celebrity connections. With all the meddling, manipulating and invasions of privacy, all Elsie really wants is to go home. Yet when the opportunity arises, love and loyalty are put to the test, and Elsie's not so sure she can leave behind the family she never knew she always wanted.

Schmidt is a very popular name.
It's the last name of the guard at Five Nights at Freddy's.
As well as the last name of a very powerful German man that followed Hitler way back then, you can see it in the old Captain America Movie!

Her insistence on it being a joke is slightly hilarious. But I do feel for her, couldn't even being to imagine what it would be like to find out your birth certificate was fraudulent!
