A black owner of a small New York City bakery, Danielle has achieved success. She owns her own home, has traveled the world and is only 26 years old. Even with all her successes, she remains compassionate and selfless. The only thing she hasn't been quite successful in is her love life.
Enter in Derek. Derek is a handsome white male also living in New York City. His beauty however, is buried under dirty brown, shoulder length hair, a full beard and clothes that haven't been washed in years. He's been homeless since he was 16. Now he's 28. After being harassed by police and forced to move from his usual spot under the Brooklyn Bridge, Derek finds a new place in front of a bakery to call home.
When Danielle finds Derek sleeping outside her shop, her compassionate persona moves her to do things most people wouldn't.
