Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been edited

Outside of those walls was where the poor stayed poor and poverty stayed brutally common. There were 11 closely built towns, but the 3 biggest were O'khasis, Scaleswind, and the Neapolitan villages. That was not where Aphmau was. She was born and raised in a small village far to the east called Phoenix Drop. She was thrown into guard training by her parents at the age of 12 to give her an opportunity in life. After 6 years of intense, tiring combat training and schooling, she'd been chosen to move to the castle as a guard. Of course, she wasn't expecting to be guarding the Crowned Prince of the Falcon Claw Castle. If she had the chance to go back to that day, she'd take that chance and run for the hills while she still could. 19 year old Prince Aaron, wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. He didn't want to be watched over, he didn't want to be guarded, he just wanted to be left alone for once in his life. With his luck, that was impossible. He never wanted the crown. He was intelligent enough to rule and he acknowledged that but he always wished he could just be free of his binding curse.
