It is the year 1944 and World War II is happening. In Europe, there is fear and turmoil for Jews and others that are considered inferior by many of the Germans.
Anton, 29, is a SS soldier and is a high commander of the concentration camp, Auschwitz. He is considered brutal, evil, and sadistic, who loves to torture his prisoners. However, all that changes when he meets a new prisoner, Clementia, a Gypsy Jew.
Clementia, 18, and her family have been captured and are taken to Auschwitz. She and her family are separated and Clementia is trying to survive to be reunited with her family.
Anton becomes obsessively enamored with her and wants her for himself, but Clementia refuses him. However, Clementia becomes friends and falls in love with another German soldier in the camps, Gunner, 25.
Gunner is a soldier who hates how the Jews are being treated. When he meets Clementia he falls in love, but has a secret that may also cost him his life. The love triangle is of survival and death.
