Sarah Gray leaves her dull London flat for an exciting summer job teaching English, to the children of a wealthy Greek family cruising the Greek Isles.
Nikolaos Niarchos the son of a shipping tycoon, and president of the families shipping business is on his way to his private Greek Island for a much needed break from family, ex-fiance and the press.
Sarah finds herself stranded on Amorgos after being abandoned by the yacht on which she was traveling. She ends up taking refuge in a villa on the island. Nikolaos, the island's owner, arrives the morning after Sarah is stranded and is convinced she is a member of the press, out for all the juicy details of his plit with is ex-fiance. Sarah tries to convince Niko she is not there to spy on him but was stranded and just wants to get back to the yacht. Her story is just too incredible for Niko to believe, even though he can not deny the attraction he feels.
Sarah is out of luck, there is no way off the island till the end of the week and no way to stop from falling in love with Nikoloas, a man who could never love her in return.
Just when they are starting to trust in each other Niko’s father, social climbing stepmother and ex-socialite fiancé arrive on the island to put a stop to their private paradise.
