"Your honor, my client has admitted to murdering Melissa Green, but it was only in self defense. And the wounds my client has, proves her claim to be true. The victim broke into my client's home at approximately 3:00 am, with a small hand gun, prepared and ready to kill my client. The letter that Melissa wrote my client shows that she threatened her, and it clearly states that she was going to "get her". Which obviously meant kill in this situation.
