Right Behind You
Riny "Kae" Francisque is definite that she will never live to see the day of her true happiness. It has been set in stone since the day that she was born. She feels destined to a future of misfortunes, with that set in place, her life is filled with constant abuse from both her aunt and new husband who make her life a living hell.
As Riny tries to make the best of her life and tries to mend the rest of the family that she does have left, she witnesses her aunt being beat to death by her husband. In fear, Riny runs away from the home she's spent the majority of her life in.
She finds comfort in a co-worker, but later finds out she is no longer safe wherever she is. With plans to move out of the state of Chicago, she encounters a brutal scene of a man being beaten by a mob of men. They spot her and she is knocked unconscious and brought to an unfamiliar place.
Riny meets the Pakhan, otherwise known as the leader of all bosses and is left on trial to prove her innocence to the Vasiliev family. She gains the trust of everyone in the house and for once her life seems alright, she is protected, she is loved, she is happy.
But happens when that runs out?
Will she remain with the family she's grown to know?
