The planets of the Cestia galaxy are in peril. Mysterious holes are opening in the ground. From within, vile creatures, Deargs, burst forth, slaughtering any living creature that crosses their path. Humanity, along with hundreds of other races of the galaxy, are on the brink of extinction. Where do they come from? Who sent them? What is their purpose?
For Xalen, a boy with a terrifying gift, life in Planet Vintra is nothing more than a dull affair. An orphan, he quickly learns to look out for himself and his friends. However, he has always yearned for something greater. So when Reave, a veteran warrior comes to enlist him for the Alioth, the elite army of the galaxy, Xalen cannot refuse.

By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings. Very shortly after the USAs United National Space Command [UNSC] discovers their exsitence, the aliens, known as Ecarians, send several scouting parties out to find the humans planet. One of the scouting parties lands outside of Des Plaines, Illinois which has a heavy population of supernaturals. One of them, a Sergeant from the local SWAT team by the name of Zuton Cruton, befriends one of the aliens, Zorra. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth... The Games
Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. But after consideration, they don't see the harm in sending one. And realise it might be their only chance.Complete

He doesn't think her a worthy opponent, and leaves her unharmed. But the rival super predators, and the hunters from his clan, don't care that she's inferior in battle, she's fair game to them. Joining forces with her, and the other humans they go up against the predators in a fight for survival and a way off of the game reserve planet.
