What happens when a smart mouthed girl and a badboy's life is exposed for the whole school to see? Things get heated...
“Ryder! Ryder!” I yelled at the top of my burning lungs, tears streaming down my cheeks in pain, “Don't do this! It's not your fault Kyle died, You couldn't have known there was a high tide that night.”
“Stop saying his name,” Ryder seethed angrily, his body trembling as he stood on top of the edge of the towns tall bridge, “That could have been me. It should have been me.”
I'm sorry for posting the story on the blog! I am so sorry!
I sobbed heavily, begging for him to please get of the bridge. He didn't even glance in my direction as he watched the stream of rough waters hit the rocks roughly. His body was still, probably thinking about the night his best friend lost his life.
The water seemed to be worse tonight, there was a storm headed in our direction and the water was higher than usual.
Please don't do this Ryder. I love you. I admitted to myself, again and again as Ryder fisted his hands into balls of anger at his sides.
“Ryder!" I shouted his name again, over the loud crashing of the water below the bridge.
He couldn't jump off the bridge, not in this weather, “Please, Don't do this!”
My voice gave out as Ryder closed his eyes shut and took a step forward.
"Ryder!" I yelled with all the strength inside of me as I lunged forward near the edge of the bridge trying to reach out for him.
Ryder's plunged off the edge of the bridge, falling down into the waters below. My heart jumped in my chest in fear of him not surviving the fall.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I clung to the edge of the bridge.
No. No. No. Please, I love you. I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't mean to, I chanted in my head as I looked over the edge of the bridge searching for the idiot who stole my heart.
