Kelsey couldn't be happier, it was going to be her thirteenth birthday and she felt like an adult. She sang along to the music in her mother's car, they were on their way to her father's house. She was going to stay there the year, although it was against her mother's will. Her mother and father had separated when she was five years of age; it was never really clear to her why that happened. Her mother would tell it one way and her father another. All she knew was that money was a big factor in it. Never thee less, she loved them both and had an extravagant amount of affection for both of them. Her father had always been better off; he had his own company, a large property, a large house, and had recently remarried. Her mother on the other hand was living in an apartment, and was single. As they entered the town she observed her surroundings, newly painted buildings, several cute guys without shirts, and a wanted sign posted on a telephone pole.
