Not So Fast
Val is a normal --and human-- teenager. She plays softball, smiles a lot, and makes friends with everyone. Almost. She's dating the star baseball player, which they all find to be totally cliche. She has always liked things the way they were, with as little change as possible. Her heart is nearly ripped from her chest when she meets Emma, a heartbroken younger girl, who introduces Val to Chance, her older brother.
Chance is a normal --werewolf-- teenager. He plays football, baseball, and basketball. He's dating the head cheerleader, which everyone, including him, finds totally cliche. He doesn't even like her. It's even more awkward, that her cousin is dating his baby sister, or was at least. When he hears how the stupid boy broke Emma's heart he rushes to her side, suprised to find a girl already there, buying Emma ice cream. Something about Val just seems right. Like he was meant to be with her forever.
He knows she must be his mate, but that is impossible. She's human. Val doesn't get why Chance Relland is paying attention to her now, appearing at her school though she knows he attends the rival academy. and everytime he comes, something weird happens... he has an issue with her boyfriend, and it turns out she has an issue with his girlfriend too.
Will Chance and Val be able to sort out their complicated feelings and keep everyone they know unharmed, or will they move to fast and break everyone's hearts?
