Thanks to her uncanny instincts and gift for fitting bits and pieces of a crime into an identifiable whole, Shannon McKenzie is one of the best investigators the Montana Department of Livestock can sic on cattle and horse rustlers. Unfortunately, her heart has never been as cool and analytical as her brain. She'll do whatever she must to minimize collateral damage to the friends and family of the thieves she takes down...even if it means putting her career and her life on the line.

Hotshot rodeo announcer Tyler Jernigan knows exactly what it's like to be caught in Shannon's net--both as a lover and a suspect. Her last undercover investigation nearly destroyed his family, sending his brother to prison and shutting their livestock auction business down for good, leaving Tyler to wonder if he'd ever really known the woman who stole his soul when she disappeared after the bust.

Almost a year and a half later, Shannon and Tyler come face to face on the rodeo circuit, and once again she's pretending to be someone she's not. In order to salvage her investigation, Shannon will have to get close enough to persuade Tyler not to blow her cover. But who is going to protect her oh-so-vulnerable heart from the man who's held it in the palm of his hand since the moment they met?

Love the story. I also like that we do not know too much about the main character in the beginning. It sets the tone when he exclaims"You".

Loved the end. But maybe show us a little more of her personality earlier. There is lot's of detail about the scene, but not much of her.
