Forever (Michael Jackson)
Michael Jackson and Madeline Winters met one summer day in 1970, instantly beginning a lifetime of friendship. As children, they became inseparable, and they soon established their vows of their friendship--the most important being to stay best friends forever.
Now young adults, Michael and Madeline have never broken their vows to each other. Both of them continue to live entirely different lifestyles, and their pact of friendship remains tremendously important to them. However, Michael, having developed feelings for Madeline throughout the years, has fallen deeply in love with her. Madeline, conversely, is completely oblivious to his love for her.
Michael is terrified that if she ever finds out about how he really feels, their friendship will be ruined. He can't imagine living his life without her, so he choses to keep his feelings a secret. He choses a true friendship that he knew would last forever instead of a potential heartbreak.
However, as his feelings grow stronger, he can't help but wonder if he's made the right decision. Consistently fighting with his heart and his mind, Michael is torn on what to do. Should he tell Madeline of his true feelings for her and risk losing their friendship? Or, knowing that their friendship will always be secure, should he keep his feelings to himself?
Despite all the torn feelings, setbacks, and secrets, Michael, without a doubt, knows one thing: he is going to continue to stay by Madeline's side and love her unconditionally--forever.
