Avery Gunning did everything he could to forget about his past. He ran away from home. He moved to a different state. He joined a new pack. Hell, he even changed his name. Anything that could keep his past as just that, the past.
Now known as Sebastian, he thinks he's in the clear. His new pack is amazing and no one knows his story. All he had to do now, was find his mate. When Sebastian does finally meet his mate, he's not at all what he expected him to be. Sebastian realized that accepting his mate was only going to give history a chance to repeat itself. So he does the most logical thing; he rejects him.
Terrance Myers has always been a bully. Knowing that he could easily overpower someone was always fun for him. However, it surely wasn't fun for the poor soul that was always at the other end of his fist, his own brother. Terrance had beat his brother for years, just because he was something that Terrance could never be. After a rude awakening, Terrance realizes that he doesn't want to leave planet Earth known as a bully, especially to his own mate.
Unfortunately, life isn't that easy. There's no such thing as "forgive and forget," especially in Terrance's case. In addition to that, Sebastian comes to find out that his past was not at all where he thought he left it.
